I think Genetic Engineering is a very contradictory topic that is worth to be thought about.
Here, I will talk about some moral aspects to make you aware of its pros and cons.
I will not go for all the difficult scientific explanation, weighing whether this or that could be done… Honestly, I wouldn’t get it anyway. That’s why I’d like to comment on different moral aspects which are consequently involved. Simple but thoughtful. To animate YOU!

i guess we will all agree on that its not possible to give ageneral this OR that answer.
it has advantages: did you know, that quite soon it will be possible to produce biodegradable plastic by engeneering plants and greens. this gonna be the solution to one of the world’s major waste problems!!
and of cause we all have thought about how many people we could help by just breeding them a new heard or a liver…
ANYWAY, still we cannot foresee where it will lead us.. creepy stuff

GE to me means just that humans do not leave nothing anymore to natural selection.
Humans decide who will live and who wil die. Everything will be ‘perfect’.. – perfectly engineered maybe but ‘perfect’ also means that there’s no space at all for individuals nor biodiversity.
Humans try to play God. – A myopic God with blinkers…
